Report: 6 independent filmmakers arrested in Iran

The BBC says 6 independent filmmakers have been detained in Iran but has denied an Iranian media report that the group are employed by the British public broadcaster.

The BBC said in a statement Monday that the group members were "independent documentary filmmakers." It added that the BBC's Farsi-language service had bought the rights to their films but had not commissioned the work. (AP)
