Poll: 83% of Palestinians back UN bid

An opinion poll reveals that 83% of Palestinians support a planned bid for full UN membership and international recognition of a Palestinian state

The poll, carried out by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR), found Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip back the bid despite fearing the serious economic consequences which could follow the membership request. (AFP)
