J'lem: Riots in Mea Shearim; police arrest Neturei Karta activists

Police officers and Jerusalem municipal inspectors arrested key Eda Haredit and Neturei Karta activists in Mea Shearim on Tuesday.
Police were in the area to detain a slaughterhouse owner suspected of tax evasion and a leader among the Sikrikim suspected of extortion. Local residents responded by rioting and hurling stones at the officers. Eda Haredit leader Yoel Kraus and Mordechai Hirsch were among the detainees. (Kobi Nahshoni and Yair Altman)
