Germany's Israeli-born Jewish leader says he is refusing to view a meeting with the German-born pontiff in Berlin's historic Reichstag parliament building as overly symbolic.
Dieter Graumann, Germany's top Jewish leader, tells The Associated Press that it is simply a "wonderful sign" of the strength of Jewish-Roman Catholic relations that the pontiff is taking time on the first day of his trip to meet with Jewish leaders. (AP)
