Chile's President Sebastián Pinera Echenique spoke before the 66th UN General Assembly on Thursday and said that his country resolutely supports the Palestinian statehood bid with aim of achieving "just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
"Chile has the deep conviction that the Palestinians have the right to have a free, sovereign and democratic state and that the State of Israel has the right to have its borders recognized and secure… and that both people should coexists in peace and harmony." (Ynetnews)
