Diplomats: Quartet agrees on statement on Mideast talks
The Quartet of Middle East peace mediators has reached agreement on a statement that it hopes will bring Israel and the Palestinians back into peace negotiations, diplomats familiar with the matter said on Friday.
Ministers from the Quartet, the European Union, Russia, the United Nations and the United States, are expected to meet at the United Nations at 2.30 p.m./1830 GMT on Friday, the diplomats told Reuters, declining to offer details on the substance of the statement. (Reuters)
