Peretz not leaving Labor Party

At a conference held Sunday to mark the end of Amir Peretz's Labor Party leadership campaign, Peretz stressed that he would not be leaving the party and addressed the new party chairwoman Sheli Yachimovich: "You were elected to stand at the head of the Labor Party, now you bear the responsibility. We are extending a helping hand."

According to Peretz: "This is an opportunity for us all, the State too. If you lead with reason and openness you will find good partners." (Roi Kais)
