A number of train drivers have unexpectedly called in sick following Israel Railways' decision to suspend nine employees for disrupting the launching of a new train line between Rishon Lezion and Tel Aviv. Sources at the company said that there will be no choice but to cancel some of the scheduled trains, and that delays are expected nationwide.
The company's management confirmed that several drivers handed in doctor's notes, but said that the trains are running without disruption. (Shahar Haselkorn)
