Officials in the security establishment expressed concern over the Trajtenberg Committee's recommendations, which included cutting back the defense budget, saying that it will severely hinder the recommendations issued by the Brodet committee following the Second Lebanon War, which determined the outline of the security budget for the next 10 years.
Responding to the publication of the Trajtenberg Committee report, a top security official noted that the Treasury has "successfully managed to raise taxes and cut the defense budget," as it has planned to do for a long time. (Yoav Zitun)
