Settler suspected of vandalizing IDF property released

Eli settlement resident Alex Ostrovsky, who was arrested last week on suspicion of breaking into an IDF base and vandalizing army vehicles and other property as part of a price tag operation, was released by the police's International Crime Investigation Unit. The police has asked the court to extend Ostrovsky's remand for six days, but the court ordered him to be released on Wednesday at noon. It was not immediately clear why he was released early.
