Abbas telephones Peres, wishes Israelis a Shana Tova

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas telephoned President Shimon Peres in honor of the Jewish New Year. "I would like to wish you, your family and the people in Israel a Shana Tova and happy holiday," he said.
Peres thanked and wished the Palestinian people a happy new year as well. "The two people must look into ways to overcome the crisis and bring about a solution of peace. I thank you for the holiday greeting and wish the Palestinian people a year of peace and an end to the conflict." (Ronen Medzini)
