Tahrir Square: Hundreds protest against army
Hundreds of demonstrators flocked Friday to Tahrir Square in Cairo for a rally intended to denounce the army's handling of the transition in Egypt since the fall of Hosni Mubarak in February.
The protesters accuse the military of lacking transparency and of perpetuating the oppressive apparatus of the past. They are protesting against the extension of the emergency laws still in effect from Mubarak's era. (AFP)
