Diplomats: Security Council won't decide on Palestinian bid soon

UN diplomats said that the panel that deals with admitting new members to the Security Council will not decide on the Palestinian membership bid in the coming weeks.

According to the sources, representatives of the 15 members states have decided to give the international community another chance to restart the direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians before making a decision. (AFP)
