Israel welcomes Quartet's call for direct talks with Palestinians
Israel has announced it welcomes the Quartet's call to hold direct negotiations with the Palestinians without preconditions.
In an official announcement published by the Prime Minister's Office it said: "Despite Israel having a few objections, which it plans to discuss during the negotiations, it calls upon the Palestinian Authority to join the direct talks without delay." (Ronen Medzini)
