Egypt: Trial begins for 'Mossad agent' accused of spying for Israel

The trial of Israeli citizen "Ofir Harrari," accused of spying for Israel by Egyptian authorities, began in Cairo on Sunday. Harrari, who has not been arrested, will be tried in absentia.

 

Harrari's counterpart, Ibrahim abu-Zaid, a telecoms engineer from Jordan, is also on trial for "endangering Egypt's national interest." (AFP)
