The Arab League urged its members on Sunday to increase financial assistance to the Palestinians, after the US Congress reportedly decided to block $200 million in aid to the PA in response to its application for UN membership.
"It is pertinent for members of the league to increase their financial assistance to the Palestinian people in order to allow it to deal with threats," Arab League Secretary General Nabil Alarabi said after meeting with chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat. (AFP)
