Livni to visit UK for first time since warrant for her arrest was issued

British Foreign Secretary William Hague spoke with Opposition Chairwoman Tzipi Livni on the eve of Rosh Hashanah and invited her to visit the UK. Livni is expected to make the trip this week.

The UK issued a warrant for Livni's arrest for war crimes allegedly committed during Operation Cast Lead in 2009, but the law allowing such warrants to be issued against Israeli politicians was recently amended, making Livni's trip possible. (Moran Azulay)
