Report: German mediator in Shalit deal arrives in Cairo

Gerhard Conrad, the German mediator negotiating the release of captive IDF solider Gilad Shalit, has arrived in Cairo for a short visit, Al-Ahram Online reported.

Officials estimated that the mediator will attempt to restart the talks over a prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas. (Roee Nahmias)
