Gunmen attack Shiite Muslims in Pakistan, kill 13
Suspected Sunni extremists executed 12 Shiite Muslims after ordering them off a bus and lining them up in southwestern Pakistan on Tuesday, ramping up a campaign of sectarian violence gripping the region, police said.
Sunni militants with links to al-Qaida and the Taliban have carried out scores of bombings and shootings across the country against minority Shiites in recent years, but the past couple weeks in Baluchistan province have been particularly bloody. (AP)
