West Bank: Group of paratroopers abandons post
A group of eight soldiers belonging to the Paratroopers' Brigade will be put on trial for abandoning their outpost in the West Bank on Tuesday.
The soldiers, all members of regiment 890, left the outpost after their new commander ordered them to complete orders they claim were designated for "younger" soldiers, including emptying trash cans and guarding. The commanders were able to convince some of them to return, but eight paratroopers insisted on remaining in their homes. (Yoav Zitun)
