Palestinians to request UNESCO membership
Diplomats say Palestinian officials will request membership in the Unted Nations cultural agency this week, as part of a broader push for international recognition.
Three diplomats said the Palestinian delegation at UNESCO will request full-member status at a meeting Wednesday of the Paris-based body's executive board. The delegation currently has observer status. (AP)
