Turkey says sanctions on Syria to go ahead
Turkey's prime minister says Turkey and other countries will press ahead with plans to slap sanctions on Syria undeterred by Russia and China's veto of a UN security Council resolution.
The two countries on Monday vetoed a European-backed resolution that threatened sanctions against Syria if it didn't immediately halt its military crackdown against civilians. (AP)
