Russia says it has detained suspected Chinese spy

Russia's security service said on Wednesday it had detained a suspected Chinese spy late last year who tried to gain access to sensitive missile technology, Russian news agencies reported.

It was not clear why news of the detention was released only now, less than a week before Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits China as part of efforts to strengthen ties with Beijing. (Reuters)
