Spain: Ready to extradite Mubarak crony if courts agree

If the Egyptian request for the extradition of businessman Hussein Salem is approved by Spain's National Court then the government would have to give its assent.

"We are ready to send him there but it is under the judicial process," Spanish Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez told journalists in Luxembourg where was attending a European Union ministerial meeting.

An official at the National Court said the extradition request was still being considered. (AFP)
