IDF chief speaks out against defense budget cuts
Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Benny Gantz said Monday that "the IDF must remain steadfast and trained in order for it to be at its peak readiness to defend the State and its citizens at any given moment."
Speaking about the possibility of defense budget cuts the chief of staff said: "I will not allow the defenders of the nation to come under attack. The ethics and fair play towards the nation's defenders is more precious and important that a fistful of shekels." (Ahiya Raved)
