Chief rabbis welcome Shalit deal
Israeli's chief rabbis Yona Metzger and Shlomo Amar issued a joint statement in which they welcomed the prisoner exchange deal that would see the release of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit.
"We call on the people of Israel to pray for Gilad, and hope that the joy will not be accompanied by any sorrow or damage from the consequences of the deal," wrote the rabbis. (Ynet)
