Thousands in Gaza, West Bank, celebrate prisoner swap deal
Gaza Strip residents on Tuesday night celebrated the prisoner exchange release deal between Israel and Hamas, which will see the release of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit in return for 1,000 Palestinian prisoners held in Israel.
Thousands are participating in processions and waving signs in support of Izz al-Din al-Qassam, Hamas' military wing. Meanwhile, Palestinian media outlets reported that fireworks were fired in the West Bank cities of Hebron and Nablus. (Ynet)
