Vice Premier Silvan Shalom says he will back Shalit deal

Vice Premier Silvan Shalom announced that he would back the prisoner exchange deal that will see the release of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit from Hamas captivity in return for 1,000 prisoners held in Israel.
Shalom made the announcement before an emergency cabinet meeting in which ministers will vote on the deal reached with Hamas. (Attila Somfalvi)
