Palestinian injured from IDF fire near Hebron
An IDF officer shot and moderately injured a 19-year-old Palestinian during clashes in the village of Beit Ummar, near Hebron. According to an initial investigation, some 100 Palestinians rioted in the area and hurled stoned at security forces.
The officer, who was assaulted by several protesters, opened fire in self defense. The injured man, Amir Ibrahim, was treated on the scene and taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. (Yair Altman and Elior Levy)
