UK summons Syria envoy over dissident harassment

Britain's Foreign Office has summoned Syria's ambassador to London over the alleged intimidation of Syrian dissidents in Britain, Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Thursday.

"The Syrian ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Office this morning and told that any harassment or intimidation of Syrians in our country is unacceptable and will not be tolerated," Hague told parliament. (Reuters)
