The Israeli man detained in Egypt for alleged espionage, Ilan Grapel, is to be released shortly after the Shalit deal is completed, the Al-Haram newspaper reported. Israel is to release 81 Egyptian prisoners in exchange for Grapel.
Also according to the report, Israel's apology for the deaths of five Egyptian police officers during an exchange of fire and the success of the Egyptian mediation efforts in the Shalit deal paved the way for the Grapel deal. (Roi Kais)
