The High Court of Justice rejected the petitions filed by four bereaved families against the Shalit deal, saying that it saw no room to intervene in the government's decision.
In their ruling, the three judges stated that they considered delaying the execution of the deal, but were told by government officials that the timetable was part of the agreement and that "every change could jeopardize the deal and even endanger Gilad's life." (Aviad Glickman)
