Gilad Shalit, family land near Mitzpe Hila

The helicopter carrying Gilad Shalit and his family has landed near Mitzpe Hila. Hundreds of residents and activists cheered on as they formed a human chain at the entrance to the community, and held flowers and Israeli flags.

Gilad reportedly sat in the cockpit throughout the 30 minute flight from Tel Nof airbase to Mitzpe Hila, and spoke to the pilot. (Attia Somfalvi and Yoav Zitun)
