The Egyptian anchorwoman Shaira Amin who interviewed Gilad Shalit moments after he was released from captivity, told BBC network that she was unaware of the fact that the interview was forced on Shalit.
Responding to criticism on what was described by many media outlets as a "cruel" interview, Amin said she asked to conduct the interview, and was told it would be arranged. However, it wasn’t confirmed until the last moment. (Ynet)
