US worried over release of inmates who killed Americans
The US expressed its "concern" to Israel over the release of prisoners involved in the killing of Americans as part of the Shalit deal, a State Department spokesman told Ynet.
Israel went ahead and freed the terrorists in question despite the American concerns. The spokesman said the US would continue to seek justice for its citizens following the release, but did not elaborate. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
