French ambassador: Gilad Shalit watched Tour de France while in captivity

French Ambassador to Israel Christophe Bigot visited Gilad Shalit at his family home in Mitzpe Hila on Tuesday, after which Bigot told reports that Shalit had told him that while in captivity he had watched nature programs and sport, including the Tour de France on television.

"I invited Gilad to be guest of honor at the next Tour de France if he would like to come to France with his family next summer," Bigot said. (AFP)
