Report: 11 Palestinian inmates head to Turkey

Eleven of the Palestinians freed in exchange for IDF soldier Gilad Shalit were on their way to Turkey, state-run media reported late Tuesday.

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said earlier in the day that Turkey agreed to receive the freed inmates to contribute to the deal between Israelis and Palestinians, which he said would help advance the Middle East peace process. (AP)
