New Libyan govt officially recognises Syrian opposition

Libya's Transitional National Council (NTC) officially recognised the Syrian opposition council on Wednesday as the legitimate authority in Syria after months of unrest against President Bashar Al Assad.

"The NTC expresses its full recognition of the Syrian National Council as the legitimate ruler of Syria," Libya's new government said in a statement. (Reuters)
