Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast welcomed Gaddafi's death and said there was no "excuse" for further intervention NATO in Libya, IRNA news agency reported on Friday.
"The inevitable fate of all dictators and oppressors who do not respect the rights of the people is destruction (...) The Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes this great victory and congratulated the Muslim people and the Libyan National Transition Council," Mehmanparast said. (AFP)
