Likud attacks Livni over Shalit deal comments

The Likud on Sunday reacted to statements made by Knesset Member Tzipi Livni in Yedioth Ahronoth against the Shalit deal. Livni said: "Israel was weakened; the public forced the decision on the government. Because of Netanyahu Hamas' power has doubled."
The Likud said in response: "It is regrettable that Livni is addressing Gilad Shalit like a participant in a reality show. It is no less regrettable that she chose to be on vacation abroad when the entire nation shared in the excitement of his return. Livni is a cowardly politician who didn't speak when she was supposed to. Livni does not know what responsibility is and acts out of political interests that are not even acceptable to members of her own party. Livni woke up too late as sual and it would be better had she continued in her silence. (Attila Somfalvi and Moran Azulay)
