US: No plans to expel Syrian ambassador for now

The United States has no plans for now to expel the Syrian ambassador to Washington after recalling the U.S. ambassador to Damascus, a US official said on Monday.

Asked if the Obama administration would force Syrian Ambassador Imad Moustapha to leave the United States, a US official said: "Not at this time." (Reuters)
