Lebanon: Bomb wounds 6 in Palestinian refugee camp

None

Palestinian and Lebanese security officials say a bomb has exploded in a refugee camp in south Lebanon, wounding at least six people. The officials say the bomb was placed in a dust bin in the Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp near the southern port city of Sidon. It exploded late Monday when a worker was collecting the garbage.

The officials said the bomb went off near the house of Abed Makdah, a pro-Syrian local Palestinian official, but it was not clear if he was the target. Makdah was not hurt, the officials said on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to reporters. (AP)
