IDF officer sentenced to year in prison for stealing from base

An IDF officer was sentenced to a year in prison on Monday for stealing NIS 132,000-worth of metal cables from the base where he served.
The military court also decided to demote officer, Lieutenant-Colonel Shahar Atias, to the rank of a private and fine him NIS 15,000. Atias commanded the Teleprocessing and Information Technology Unit's base in Tzrifin. (Yoav Zitun)
