MK Hasson on Grapel release: Egypt is not Hamas

MK Israel Hasson (Kadima) addressed the pending agreement to free US-Israeli citizen Ilan Grapel, currently detained in Egypt on espionage charges. "Egypt is not Hamas, and this is not a deal but rather communications between two countries who share the journey," said Hasson, who was involved in the Cairo discussions.
Hasson met with Grapel on Monday, later recalling the meeting was "touching and even amusing. He didn't know who we were and didn't have any idea about our efforts." According to Hasson, Grapel received a fair treatment in Egyptian prison. (Omri Efraim)
