A Turkish news agency says prisoners are rioting in the eastern city of Van, panicked by strong aftershock.
The private Dogan news agency says some prisoners demanded to be let out late Tuesday while others set bedding on fire. The revolt then spread inside the 1,000-bed prison and security forces surrounded it to kept inmates from escaping. (AP)
