Syrian state TV is showing thousands gathered in a Damascus square in a show of support for President Bashar Assad ahead of a visit by senior Arab officials.
The Arab ministerial committee led by Qatar's prime minister is expected to arrive Wednesday to discuss the possibility of a national dialogue between the opposition and Assad's regime. (AP)
