Grapel deal; High Court slams State for ignoring MK Ben Ari's appeal

The High Court of Justice criticized the State for failing to respond to MK Michael Ben Ari's (National Union) appeal to the Attorney General over the release of Israeli-American citizen Ilan Grapel in return for 25 Egyptian prisoners.
During a hearing on the petitions filed against the prisoner swap, Justice Miriam Naor said: "It would have been a lot easier to reject the petitions outright had the State issued a response." The judges are set to make a decision in the next hours, or Thursday morning the latest. (Aviad Glickman)
