Israel accepts Quartet outline for renewal of talks

The head of the Israeli negotiations team with the Palestinians, Attorney Yitzhak Molcho, is expected to inform the members of the Mideast Quartet that Israel accepts the proposal to renew negotiations, which was presented by the Quartet in New York last month. Molcho will also reiterate that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is willing to sit down to the negotiations table at any given moment, without preconditions.
The head of the Palestinian negotiations team, Saeb Erekat said after meeting the representatives of the Quartet: "We are willing to renew talks with Israel on condition that all construction in the settlements is put on hold and that the deliberations be based on 1967 borders."
