Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a ceremony marking 10 years to the murder of former Minister Rehavam 'Gandhi' Ze'evi that he had understood that the Jewish people have no choice but to take hold of the sword in the struggle for existence.
"He understood that no one will protect the Jews if they don't protect themselves. He said that the Land of Israel is the basis for the State of Israel and that Jews belong in the State of Israel," Netanyahu said. (Yair Altman and Attila Somfalvi)
