Senior Hamas official: Shalit deal made us stronger

Deputy Hamas Politburo Chief, Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk declared Friday that the high number of prisoners released through the Shalit deal has "strengthened the movement's place in Palestinian society as well as future trust in Hamas".

In an interview to the al-Hayat newspaper Abu Marzouk stressed that Hamas saw the Shalit deal as a success as it obtained the goal they set to begin with – the release of prisoners. "We didn't lose that card", he emphasized. (Elior Levy)
